Falling in Friendship…

Reconnecting with friends…
Such bliss.

"Connected on a much deeper level..."

Thanks to the advancement of technology, finding old childhood friends has never been easier. It amazes me to think how kids today will never feel the sadness of losing a friend to long distance. Social media, email, and search engines have made “long lost buddies” a dinosaur of the past. Now that same friend who watched you go through pimples and braces is just a split second mouse click away.

Life has recently boomeranged a number of good friends back into my life. We’ve shared wine together, had a blast at outdoor yoga, and chomped on mini cupcakes high above the skyscrapers of New York City. These relationships have truly aged like good wine with the sweetness of our childhood laughter still lingering in the air. But now I can relish in the richness of conversations so abundantly full with life experience and the appreciation of what it means to still be in each other’s lives.

There is nothing like a friendship that feels like it’s always been there. And nothing like realizing those traits that drew you together in the first place, are the very same traits that allow you to fall in friendship again and again, no matter the place or time.
